How It Works
Enter a color temperature in Kelvin, and the tool checks which of five fixed ranges it falls into, from warm white below 3000K up through cool daylight/blue at 6500K and above. Each range returns a named category and a short description of where that light tone is typically used.

- The calculator only reports color appearance, not brightness (lumens) or energy use (watts), so two bulbs in the same Kelvin category can have very different light output.
- Kelvin ratings below 0 or unrealistically high values are not validated against a real-world bulb range, since the tool simply applies the category thresholds to whatever number is entered.
