How It Works

Formula & Methodology
Divide the count of faceoffs won by the total number of faceoffs taken to get a win rate between 0 and 1, then multiply by 100 to express it as a percentage. No other adjustments are applied, so the result is a direct ratio of the two input counts.

A center wins 320 of 580 faceoffs taken over a season. Win percentage = (320 / 580) x 100 = 55.2%.
Single-game sample
A player wins 9 of 14 draws in one game. Win percentage = (9 / 14) x 100 = about 64.3%, though this is based on a small sample compared to a full-season total.
