About the Incomplete Grade Deadline
The Incomplete Grade Deadline Calculator finds the exact date by which a student must finish outstanding coursework before an Incomplete (I) grade automatically converts to a failing or default grade. Students and instructors use it to keep track of a hard deadline that can otherwise be easy to lose track of once a term has ended.
How It Works
You enter the date the term ended, which is when the Incomplete was assigned, and select a completion window of 90, 180, or 365 days. A shorter 90-day window
A term ends on May 1, 2026, with a 90-day completion policy. The deadline lands on July 30, 2026, giving the student a much tighter window than a full-year policy would.
