About the Post-Workout Protein

How It Works
You enter body weight in pounds. The calculator converts that to kilograms, then multiplies by two per-kilogram factors, 0.25 and 0.4, to produce a low and high gram figure for the recommended post-workout protein range.
Formula & Methodology
To calculate this by hand, multiply body weight in pounds by 0.453592 to convert to kilograms. Multiply that kilogram figure by 0.25 for the low end of the range and by 0.4 for the high end. For a 180 lb person, that is 180 x 0.453592 = 81.6 kg, giving a low end of 81.6 x 0.25 = 20.4g and a high end of 81.6 x 0.4 = 32.7g.

Converting 140 lb to kilograms gives 140 x 0.453592 = 63.5 kg. The range is 63.5 x 0.25 = 15.9g on the low end and 63.5 x 0.4 = 25.4g on the high end, displayed as roughly 16-25g.
A 220 lb person
Converting 220 lb to kilograms gives 220 x 0.453592 = 99.8 kg. The range is 99.8 x 0.25 = 24.9g on the low end and 99.8 x 0.4 = 39.9g on the high end, displayed as roughly 25-40g.
