How It Works

Formula & Methodology
If you carry 15 credit hours and use a ratio of 2.5 study hours per credit, weekly study time is 15 x 2.5 = 37.5 hours. Because the calculator treats your credit hour count as a proxy for scheduled class time, it adds the 15 class hours to the 37.5 study hours for a combined 52.5 hours of total weekly academic commitment.
